David and I visited my sister Andrea and her family in Utah for New Years. It was only for a short weekend but we really enjoyed spending time with them. On New Years Eve, we did fondue! We had fun running all over St. George searching for a fondue pot. David decided that his future business venture would be to open up "David's Fondue Shop" in St. George because the whole city seemed to be out of fondue pots. We finally found a pot and a bunch of yummy food to fondue. We spent a couple of hours eating dinner and just chatting.
We learned a valuable lesson about stoneware; apparently it's not stovetop safe! We melted some cheese and put it on an electric burner on the table to keep it hot and when Andrea went to pick it up it was in two nice clean-cut pieces.
When mid-night rolled around we watched the ball drop and of coarse had a lovely New Years kiss and I think we were in bed asleep 15 mins later. It was perfect!
On Saturday, Andrea and Jeremy took us bowling. I think we were all a little rusty and just excited to stay a few points ahead of Kylie. Then Andrea and I took up a sport that we are much better at; shopping! I had so much fun shopping with Andrea and catching up on all our lame gossip. While we were away shopping the boys build a lovely frame for my bedroom that I can't wait to post about as soon as it is hung.
I am so glad we were able to visit Andrea and Jeremy they are so welcoming and kind. We hope to be just like them someday!
