David & Ashley

This past Saturday, March sixth, was our first anniversary! We celebrated by spending Friday evening in Scottsdale. I thought we were just going to go out to dinner but David had a little more up his sleeve. After dinner we ended up at the Hyatt resort where he took me on a gondola ride. This was a first for me and it took all the maturity and strength in my body to not laugh as the nice gondola driver serenaded us.






On Saturday morning, I tried to make us breakfast in our little hotel room but as you can see that didn't turn out so great. After a year, I still have not mastered the art of cooking. We ended up going out to breakfast and enjoyed spending the entire day together.



We finally pulled our wedding cake out of the freezer and after having a taste realized we should have pulled it out for our one month anniversary!





All day kept asking ourselves, "What were we doing exactly one year ago?" I am so grateful for the events that occurred one year ago. I am so thankful for David and the incredible husband he is and how happy he has made me this past year. Everyone kept telling us the first year is the hardest...well if that is as bad as it gets, this should be a breeze!
