Date Night Down Memory Lane
A few weeks ago I was telling David how my dad used to take my sisters and I to 5& Diner when we were younger. It was our favorite place to go; we thought it was so cool because it was 50s themed and the waitresses wore poodle skirts. So last weekend, for date night, David took me to 5 & Diner for dinner. Somehow that old diner had lost its magic and didn't seem quite as classy as I remembered. Much to my dismay, there were no poodle skirts. We had a waiter who wore all black and had a long gray ponytail. I wish I would have been brave enough to take his picture!
After dinner, we took a blanket to the park and played card games while listening to old radio shows. We had a lot of fun and love any chance we have to spend a little time together on the weekends.

Cute! I'm glad you guys got to have a fun date night :)
Fun date!! Take as much advantage of those as you can because once kids are here they are few and far between! Although you live right next to both families so maybe not!!
Oh the sweet memories of 5&Diner! You two...you two are gems.
I think it's just because Dad wasn't picking up the tab. That always makes things much funner!
I'm glad you have good memories of those times!!
Dad
